Please bear with me.
Some background, when I (27F) was in elementary and high school, I was a consistent honor student and graduated with flying colors (valedictorian and salutatorian). In college, I was a scholar and even took many financial scholarships from different programs just to sustain my needs in school. I even gave the excess educational finances to my parents, since they asked for it. Both of my parents (56F, 65M) were not employed and were just dependent to our small balloon business. Whereas, my older sister (33F) was independent and did her works alone with her long-time boyfriend. She has been living alone since she pursued her college degree. And my parents got no say about that despite the fact that they were both strict and traditional.
When I graduated in college, at 21, I was absorbed by the school where I graduated. Since then, I have been providing everything for family. I also passed the board exam and got my master's degree. Still, I was the major provider of the family.
However, I got no savings and properties at the age of 27. When it comes to boyfriend, still, I was not allowed to go home late at night and let my boyfriend stay in our house late at night. I could not even go with my friends without receiving tons of messages from both of my parents. They even messaged my friends if I was not able to respond to them.
Also, the profession I got was their choice. Every salary payout, aside from the bills of house, water, streaming sites, and Internet, I also have to give them extra money.
TLDR,
I've been with them for a long time, and I even used my financial scholarships to support my own education while in college. They didn't spend a dime on my college and post-graduate studies. It's still the same now that I'm working; it's just that their “needs,” or should I say “wants,” have become more expensive. Not only that, but I've given them my everything, and they treat me as if they own my life. I can't do what I want.
Currently, I cannot move. I cannot breathe. I cannot do what I love. Can't even pursue my dreams.
What should I do?
