My husband is a heavy sleeper and has still managed to get himself up every morning and has since he was a kid. Very rarely has he slept through his alarm. He even sets multiple times on his phone.
There are so many options for alarm clocks. From the old school analog ones with the bells, to more interactive ones, where you have to get up to turn them off. There are ones that even shake the bed. Check out alarm clocks for heavy sleepers on Amazon.
He needs to take 100% responsibility for getting up every morning. No more waiting until the absolute last minute. Unless you only have one car, leave without him if he's not ready. Don't risk losing your job because he can't be responsible for getting himself up and frequently forgets things.
