Not sure where you’re from but people sometimes have more than just hands unfortunately. I think if she’s expressed that she doesn’t want you to get involved, it would be more respectful to not have this conflict. If you don’t know him well, you have no idea what could happen or how it could make her life more difficult even if nothing violent happens.
