Personally I'd have no interest in someone that young, in fact I attended a friends wedding when I was 35 and he had a group of cousins who were 20 and one of them sort of fixated on me (I'm very fit and typically am mistaken for roughly 10 years younger), but I just couldn't do it. Honestly, sticking around just to appease her brother might not be worth the drama. If you can, try explaining to him separately that things have become too toxic, and as much as you value your friendship, you need some distance from the situation. Make sure he knows it's nothing against him, and maybe find ways to hang out that don't involve her family. Better to stay out of the feud than let it consume everyone's lives.
I haven’t heard of them but I will definitely will be checking them out, thank you! I think having a counselor would help mediate. I want to make sure he knows I’m not coming from a place of judgment but from a place of hurt and love. Sometimes he gets too in his head and overthinks, that’s why I’d want a professional, to make sure he is safe from himself during the conversation. Thank you for your tips!

Whether he's lost interest or he's truly busy listening to the voices inside his head this doesn't seem like a great bet for a relationship. Obviously no relationship can maintain the courtship level of flirting permanently. But if he's backed off this much after just a few weeks you might want to consider whether you could ever be happy with this person.
I feel like I can admit that part of it now. I am definitely feeling hurt about his change of mind regarding wanting a relationship, that he changed it quickly for someone else, and I can admit I am taking it personally because of that. One of the reasons I posted on here was to get different opinions to help broaden my perspective of the situation, and all of the different comments have certainly helped to do that for me.

We have no idea if this is a deal breaker for OP, he needs to be the judge of that. There are reasons why she may have gone there besides cheating. OP is the one to decide if it's justified or not.
