Or invite her but no plus one. This will prevent her from trying to hold court showing off what she thinks is a prize. It will also keep the family off your back.
Have a few your friends on sister duty. If she tries to get close or make anything about her, she gets cut off. Make sure if she does try to sneak in the ex that he is denied.

Try telling her (in person, no devices) that you feel like she has been distant and you want to know if something is bothering her.
Then listen as she responds.
