If you truly honestly feel that this is going to work, do yourself a favor and start talking about the taboo stuff you normally don't mention to anyone else. See how deep you can get to know each other. A healthy blended family is going to start with two parents who ABSOLUTELY stand by each other. There will be times your sons and stepdaughter do not get along. It'll sometimes be your sons faults, sometimes your stepdaughters fault, and sometimes a combination. You have to make sure that your sons and stepdaughters are treated equally and shown the same amount of love and commitment. I've heard that doing date days with your stepkids can really help build that bond.
So I just checked my Google maps history. And there are loads of times where it's a straight line across the map from where I was to where I went. But I didn't fly like a bird, I drove in my car and for whatever reason Google didn't register all the details. A lot of times it does, and it clearly shows me driving on the road, but fairly frequently, at least a few times a week it's just a straight line to and from start to finish.
