  1. Bingo ! Depression affects the way one thinks and acts in more ways then people know, it’s very hot to want to get out of the house for most because just the thought of doing it can be overwhelming, add in the extra stress of meeting your family for the first time ever and the pressure to make a good impression when he doesn’t feel good about himself is basically asking him to lie and fake it. I’d tell your family just to back off for the moment and when he’s ready to they will get to meet him. It’s not him trying to control you or isolate you from your family let them know that he’s just going through a lot right now and needs time to deal with some life things and once he feels better he is more then happy to meet them.

  2. they agreed upon cutting off ex who are still around them.

She lied about the nature of her relationship with said dude to keep him around

  3. He doesn’t have to adapt. She’s not asking him to change. He is upset by something she does and wants her to change her behaviour, all he has to do is not get upset about it.

  4. Dunno why you're downvoted to hell when you're completely right. Being a grown up doesn't mean “i have everything in my life together and everything is perfect”.

  5. the meaning of the idiom “it takes two to tango” is that the action is impossible without the activities of both people.

for example the dance, “the Tango”, is a paired dance of two people. one person dancing alone cannot tango.

I don't understand what you're talking about regarding percentages.

I think this is a misunderstanding based in idiom use.

  6. It is a lot to take care of someone who is disabled, especially if they are disabled and also very demanding. Are there no relatives who can help you out? Can you afford to spend the money to send her to some sort of activity for disabled people for a morning/afternoon, so you both take a break from each other? You definitely need to take a break in between work, or else you'll end up on the news 'cause you killed your wife out of resentment. Sit her down and tell her that while you love her, you're only one person, and she's demanding too much from you. Tell her that from now on, there will be a schedule for regular chores and her care, and that you will have break times as well. Don't expect the house to look perfect because there's no need, and there will be no chores after 8 pm except minor things like you making a quick snack or putting her to bed. Follow through with your plan even if she complains. She will eventually come around.

  7. Communication. Talk to her about what is making her feel anxious. Is she worried about cheating because she's been cheated on before? Is she upset you aren't showing enough physical affection or is it she wants words everyday saying you are thinking of her and that you care? You need to pin point the exact thing that is causing the anxiety and you can only do that by talking. Have a meaningful conversation one on one or if you can with a couple's therapist. Even if it's just one session sometimes it helps to have a third party open up the conversation you need to have.

  8. Screw 'kindly'. Screw 'getting through to him' or even telling him at all.

This is YOUR life in the balance.
