Another vote for not waiving that child support. As a single mom who didn’t get any, my kids definitely suffered. My financial stress alone was a huge burden on our relationship and then on top of it, I was unable to give them the things I felt they deserved or have them participate in arts or sports.
Luckily for me it was just a few years and I’m in a better career now with some help but I grew up in the same situation and know how unfair it feels.
I’m sorry, that’s a sucker punch that sucks. But at least you know now to move on. Onwards and upwards! Odds of mommy liking the new one forever will likely only happen if she does everything mommy wants.

You might try asking her to “hang out again” . Taking her back to your place might be forward until you know her intentions, but you could always ask her if she is comfortable at your place or prefers public. If she does go out, maybe lightly mention you haven't been on a date in 12 years. Jokingly say you aren't going to tell people or gossip, but in your little diary you are counting it as a date so you don't feel so ashamed. See what her reaction is, she might even say she counts it as a date too.
Either way, basically just be light and humorous. Don't try to press too naked or make too much of an impression. Relax and be yourself. If she likes you more than a colleague, it will start to show. If not, you are no worse than you were before you went out with her.
Interacting with you sounds exhausting. My advice is to chill.
